I used my new Sephora HD Airbrush Brush to apply it. It retails for $34
It has an interesting shape. It's not as fluffy as the MAC 129. Not flat like a traditional foundation brush or MAC 190. It's way more dense than the duo fiber stippling brushes. It's longer than my favorite MAC 109.
This is me applying it. Thank God it doesn't take much. Good to know that it's a good quality Tinted Moisturizer and I'm not just paying for the name brand.
I finished it with my all time favorite powder MAC Prep and Prime Transparent Finishing Powder
These are the products and brushes I used to complete the look
Here are pictures of me applying the blushes
Elf Candid Coral as my cheek highlight. I used my Pink Angled brush from Crown Brush that I purchased a couple of weeks ago on Hautelook.com.
Clinique Spiced Wine as my contour
Clinique Sunset Glow as my cheek color
My finished look. On my eyes, I used the same products as the previous post except I added 3 extra colors from the Costal Scents 42 Matte Palette: magenta, purple, and black all in the crease and blended them with the outer lower lash line to make it fade into the MAC She Who Dares Mineralized Eye Shadow.
My overall thoughts about my two purchases are that I'm very happy with both. I wore Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer all day yesterday and I didn't notice any extra oiliness so that's an automatic plus. It doesn't give the matte finish that my Dr. Denese Day Cream and MAC Studio Moisture Tint give, but it's still not oily, greasy, or sticky. I guess it's just a natural finish. It actually provided at least light/medium coverage. That was shocking since most tinted moisturizers don't provide coverage. I can't say I'll be using it everyday since it costs so much. I'll be using it sparingly. I'm not sure when I'll be able to purchase another tube. Right now I think I have about 300 something beauty insider points so that's not going to be helpful. I'll be alternating between Elf, and MAC. The Dr. Denese Day Cream is even more expensive. I think it was like $80. Of course, I didn't buy that. LOL! My mom gave me what was left of hers and she bought herself a new one. I love my mommie!
I love your mommy too Ren! She's the best! I just love your blog! You know I don't know much about make-up application, but you are truly helping me. Keep it up and I'm so proud of you!!!!
ReplyDeleteAww! Thanks Kris! I appreciate you following my blog and your support. I'm glad you like it. I'm still learning but I enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteThe coverage is amazing for a tinted moisturizer! I have heard a lot about it, but like you, it's a little steep for me- well worth the price though! I may splurge one of these days!
