| This is the limited edition version of Fix+ with Lavender. It came out with the Champale collection Dec 26, 2010. This stuff is fantastic! Due to the Lavender, it not only calms the skin and helps with make-up application, it makes you feel nice and relaxed. Lavender is spectacular for making you feel more at ease. |
Both products work to hydrate, calm, and soothe the skin. They also work well to give make-up a more natural finish if the application initially appeared too "powdery" or "cakey". The M.A.C. Fix+ is sold in a 3.4oz bottle for $19.50. The Clinique Moisture Surge is sold in a 4.2 oz bottle for $20. So you get a better value with the Moisture Surge Spray. For people who are my allergy prone and I would recommend Moisture Surge Spray due to Clinique's claim of hypoallergenic and allergy tested products. I honestly have not noticed a difference between the two as far as the way they work. Now the most obvious difference with any Clinique products would be the lack of fragrance. While I appreciate this overall and actually prefer not to smell fragrances in my cosmetics, I thoroughly enjoy smelling the Lavender in this limited edition Fix+. Lavender is by far my #1 favorite fragrance. (My #2 is Cherry Blossom.) As a matter of fact, I love it so much that I bought 7 of them. (I gave one away to my mom). Ha ha! I totally would've bought more, but you know Estee' Lauder has that rule where you can't buy more than 3 of the same product at a time. By the time I went back to the M.A.C. store, which was only a few days, they were all sold out. :-(
I really hope this comes back as a repromote soon. Also the M.A.C. lip Conditioner w/Lavender needs to come back as well.
