Ulta 20% off Haul

Here are some other items I purchased from Ulta yesterday.  I never noticed that they had a section with clearance bins that had products ranging from $1-$3.  Here's what I purchased.

I may have gone a tad bit overboard but I purchased 3 baked shadows and 4 Ulta polishes from the $2 clearance bin, a lipstick and lipliner from the $1 bin, and a mascara from the $3 bin.

I purchased a caboodle mini train case.  I say mini because it's really not big enough for a working make-up artist to use alone, but it does come in handy for smaller jobs or if you have other cases/totes to carry make up in.  Most importantly it's really nice for storage.  This is the reason I bought it.  It's so pretty.  

It opens up pretty big and has quite a bit of space.  

I also bought these make-up remover/facial cleansing wipes by Philosophy.  They are a part of 

the Purity series.  I've been "eyeing" these for a while.  

My first Nail post "Graffiti Art"

I couldn't couldn't fall asleep last night so I decided to try playing with polish and seeing what cool designs I could come up with.  I mixed a few China Glaze Crackle polishes that I purchased with my Beauty Supply Haul a couple of weeks ago and added some other polishes and nail art that I already owned.

Still a novice when it comes to nail polish but I have fun with it.  I started off with my Sally Hansen yellow polish in Lightening. I then went over it with my China Glaze white Crackle polish.  Then I put my China Glaze purple Crackle Polish over it.  Next I added my silver glitter and white Nail Art polishes  and lastly I added dots of my Sally Hansen Xtreme Polish in Orange.

Yellow Nail Polish Summer Trend 2011

Yellow nails are the "it" color for the summer.  The most raved about yellow polish is by Chanel in Mimosa, which retails at $25.  If this is a little out of your price range Sally Hansen has two nice yellows in two different formulas.  Lightening is part of the Insta Dri Fast Nail collection and Mellow Yellow is a part of the Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear collection.  Both of theses polishes retail between $2-5 depending on the retailer.  I purchased a third yellow polish from Target for $1.99 from Sinful Colors in Pull Over.

This Double Duty polish is wonderful.  I received this gift as a bonus with my purchase of the Sally Hansen HD Polish at Kroger's.  It was a 2 for 1 special pack.  I think the retail price was $5.99.  It allows the polish to go on smooth and even without streaking or needing a lot of coats to produce a pretty finish.  I would highly recommend this.  As a top coat, it provides shine and helps to keep the polish on longer.

Mellow Yellow Hard as Nails Xtreme Polish

I really, really like this polish.  It actually does last well.  I've gone 5 days without any chipping.  Much better than I can say for M.A.C. polish that never lasts longer than 2 days on me.  

It's more of a golden yellow but still very pretty for the summer.
