5 Reasons Why this Neutrogena Product is My Favorite Make-Up Remover

1. Great Value for the price.  It's inexpensive and you get a pretty good amount. 6.7 oz.  Depending on the vendor, the price may vary.  I stocked up when they were $3.99 at Kroger's Grocery Store.  On the Neutrogena website it's on sale for $5.49.
2. It has an easy access pump. Bars are messy and bottles/ tubes tend to lead me to wasting product b/c I usually pour/squeeze too much.  Plus I feel like a pump is just quicker.
3. It's gentle.  This cleanser works really well without feeling too harsh.  It even gets off my eye make-up without burning my eyes.  
4.  Fresh Foaming Cleanser kills two birds with one stone because it's a make-up remover and a cleanser in one.  Perfect for night time when I don't feel like going through my entire skin care regimen.
5. No strong fragrance.  It does have a light fresh scent, but it's not overpowering so I can tolerate it. 

Inexpensive Make-Up Remover Wipes

These are Target brand makeup remover wipes.  They are designed to be comparable to my favorite Ponds wipes.   They retail for $3.59.

Overall I like them.  They are about $2 cheaper than the Ponds wipes.  The downside is that I smell the fragrance more in these than in the original Ponds wipes.  I've also noticed that I have to be very careful when removing eye makeup.  If I rub too much, my eyes will burn.  I've never noticed my eyes burning with the Ponds wipes.

Clean skin is a given, however like many people, I don't always feel like getting up to go to the bathroom and wash my face at night.  Having "cheat sheets" come in handy at these times.    I really love using make up remover wipes.  They're extremely convenient, and if good quality, they're quite effective.  They're also good for quick touch ups.  These are three of my favorites below.


#3 M.A.C. Make-Up Remover Wipes

These come in two sizes.  45 pack retails for $18 and the 100 pack retails for $26.   The quality of these are very good.  They are more expensive, but if you buy the 100 pack, it's a better bargain.  A huge downside to these would be the fact that the wipes at the top of the pack aren't nearly as moist as the ones at bottom.  I've tried turning the pack upside down hoping to get the moisture to go all the way through but that still doesn't work...at least not as much as I would like it to.  Another downside is the fact that when used to remove my eye make-up, they sometimes burn my eye area. 

#2 Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Wipes

I purchased these on sale for $3.99 at Krogers Grocery store. I stocked up and bought 4 packs. :-) The regular retail price is between $5-7.  I've seen a range of prices at different retailers (Walmart, Target, CVS, and Walgreens).   I'd rank these as 2nd out of the three.  The price is pretty reasonable.  They are easy to find at most cosmetics aisles of drug stores and grocery stores.

#1.  Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes

I need to mention that I've heard fantastic reviews about the Alcone wipes, however I've never actually used them.  I do plan to get some though, and I'll make sure to review them.

New Favorite Eye Make Up Remover

For years I was in love with Clinique's Take the Day Off eye/lip make-up remover.  The only downside was that it was a bit oily.  I tried Bifacil by Lancome but it didn't seem to work as quickly despite the much higher price.  I used MAC Gently off eye/lip make-up remover and it was a good "in between"; not as oily as Clinique's TDO and worked faster and was less expensive than Lancome's Bifacil.

I ran out of Gently Off and didn't want to spend that much money on make-up remover, so I decided to try a drug store brand.  I still have MAC wipes left but I really prefer not to use them on my eyes.  They irritate me after a while.  I remember my trainer telling us in update that the wipes contain a sugar derivative and this causes burning in the eye area.  So I went to Kroger's Grocery store (which is starting to become one of my favorite places to shop for cosmetics LOL!) and went down the cosmetic aisle.  Everything there is still 25% off.  I saw Cover Girl and Maybeline.  Both were too small.  I then looked at Revlon and Loreal.  They cost a bit more than I was willing to pay.

Finally I saw the Almay eye make-up remover pre soaked pads(which I tried a while back and hated due to them being too thin and having to use way too many at a time) and then the Almay liquid eye make-up remover.   I pondered for a while and then decided that I'd give it a try.  Woo Hoo!  I feel like I hit the jackpot!  This stuff is amazing.  I will certainly buy more.  Maybe even two at a time.
